Job Description

We’re seeking talented CFX Artists across all experience levels to join our team on upcoming productions. You’ll contribute to high-end feature film work, helping bring creatures, characters, and complex simulations to life through dynamic, production-ready setups.

Contract Details

• 6-month contracts commencing June (with potential extension)
• Opportunities also available for immediate start
• Location: Adelaide/Brisbane

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality CFX work across creatures, characters, and assets
• Build and refine simulations using Houdini and/or Maya
• Collaborate closely with Animation, Modelling, Rigging, and CG teams
• Respond to creative and technical feedback efficiently
• Maintain consistency and quality across shots and sequences
• Manage time effectively and communicate progress clearly

Skills & Experience

• Understanding of CFX principles including cloth, hair, muscle, and simulation workflows
• Experience with Houdini and/or Maya (aligned with level of experience)
• Knowledge of modelling, rigging, and animation workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Professional approach in a deadline-driven production environment
